Holcim's Global Trials
Holcim, a leading global concrete and cement company, has been trialling Eden Innovations' EdenCrete®Pz7 and EdenCrete®Pz products for the past 18 months. Initial trials at Holcim's headquarters in France yielded encouraging results, prompting the company to extend the trial program to its subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Ecuador.
Progress in the USA
In the United States, Holcim operates approximately 350 sites across 43 states. The first Colorado-based Holcim concrete plant is set to install EdenCrete®Pz7 storage and dispensing systems next week. This installation marks a significant step forward, as the USA has over 10 billion cubic yards of fly-ash in landfills, ponds, and lakes, which could replace 30% of the current annual Portland cement consumption for the next 120 years.
Expansion in Ecuador
The first 20-foot container load of EdenCrete®Pz7 has been dispatched from Colorado to Holcim Ecuador, where it will be used at two newly set-up Holcim plants. The shipment includes dispensing equipment for easy implementation of the product in normal plant operations. Holcim Ecuador operates 18 plants across the country, opening the possibility for further significant sales growth.
Other Holcim Trials
Ongoing trials are also underway in Canada (both eastern and western regions), the United Kingdom, and Mexico. These trials are part of Holcim's broader strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of its concrete products by using high percentages of fly-ash as a substitute for Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC).
Developments in Indonesia
Preliminary arrangements are being made to import EdenCrete®Pz7 into Indonesia for sale to major Indonesian concrete companies. A quotation for a first 16,000-liter order has been issued, indicating strong interest in the product.
Production Optimization
The Eden facility in Littleton, USA, is undergoing a production optimization process to increase the maximum production capability of EdenCrete®Pz/Pz7. The company is also securing raw material supply and volume discounts from suppliers to meet the anticipated growth in demand.
The expansion of EdenCrete®Pz7 and EdenCrete®Pz trials with Holcim is a significant development for Eden Innovations. The successful implementation of these products in multiple countries could lead to substantial sales growth and increased market share. The use of fly-ash as a substitute for OPC not only reduces costs but also significantly lowers the carbon footprint of concrete, aligning with global sustainability goals. This announcement is likely to positively impact Eden Innovations' stock as investors recognize the potential for long-term growth and environmental benefits.
Investor Reaction:

'This is a major step forward for Eden Innovations,' said one analyst. 'The expanded trials with Holcim demonstrate the effectiveness and market potential of EdenCrete®Pz7 and EdenCrete®Pz.'
